Dream Resolution

This poem was written, like many, in a time after my heart was broken. This poem is about knowing defeat of your heart.

In the hazy morning blur,
The gods touched my cheek.
The maiden wept at my feet.
The crone shook her head,
Resolute and solum.
She knew I’d fallen.
And Mother, she blessed me.
She touched my tender sores,
A glowing covered the floors.
And like they came, they vanished.
Like my soul my heart skipped.
But their message I didn’t miss.
I am on trial.
A battle all my own.
It is a path, I was shown.
A battle yet to be won.
